WOW a short-sleep night but so worth it - what a resilient energetic team we have. In a do-or-die, winner-moves-on, loser-goes-home game all hands were on deck and everyone stepped up when called upon. Luis Severino didn't have it only getting one out in the first but we haven't heard the last, he will be back in the next series against Cleveland to get his mojo working again. The bullpen in the faces of Green, DRob, Kahnle and Chap picked up the next 8 2/3 inning; the first three picking up their predecessor on the mound - DRob had not thrown 50+ pitches in his career but gave it his all. Chap allowed just a quirky hit to Maur. But can't forget the O led by Gardy - who worked the leadoff walk plus a going long after Santana buzzed him. Didi's three run bomb in the first tied things up after Severino had allowed 3 fast runs, 2 long balls. Judge became the 3rd Yankee rookie (Elston Howard & Shane Spencer) to homer in his first post season game. Bird & Sanchez also contributed key hits. What a bright, exciting future we have with the new crop of Yankees - hard to call them Baby Bombers with the maturity they are displaying. Game 1 tomorrow night on FS1.
