Sonny Gray's debut at The Stadium is over in a heart-stopping, nail-biting finish. He was masterful for the 6 innings with backing from his teammates. Jake drilled a deGrom FB into the seats for a 2-run blast giving the Yankees a 3-0 lead; SMashez blasted his 21st homer of the season into the bleachers and then a long sac fly provided a 5-0 lead. Gray's 104th pitch was his downfall and landed in the seats for two Mut runs before Joe went to the pen with a 5-2 lead. Kahnle & Betances held the Muts in check for the 7th and 8th before Chapman entered for the 9th. Another 20 year old connected for a 2-run bomb closing the lead to 1 run. A groundball for a 3-1 final out preserved the Yankee win - but noticeable grimace on Chap's face coming off the mound to cover then limping - post game interviews revealed a sore hammy.
