I know what the cyber geeks all say about going for the HR, but when a team is flat out giving you the whole side of the infield with a man on second base, you got to swallow your pride and just hit the ball on the ground to that side. It is an EASY rbi because no one is there! I cannot believe a major league hitter cannot direct his swing to hit a ball to the opposite side, whether it involves chocking up on the bat for better bat control or what. If the other team is giving it to you, you have to take it! Unless the guy comes up to you and says, “Uh, I don’t know how to do that.” So frustrating when you see that easy run on second base and the batter just flat out refuses to even try to hit the other way.
